Moscow is convening the first international security forum outside the capital with the forum set to end on May 29 after it started on Tuesday.
Delegations from more than 120 countries – including 50 African nations, most of the Middle East, Latin America, and all SCO, BRICS, and ASEAN members – are in attendance.
Over 70% of the world’s population representing China, India, Iran, Indonesia, Pakistan among others, are all at the round table.
The Key theme for this gathering is: Countering neocolonialism and ensuring the security of the Global Majority.
Also on the agenda is Western disinformation and manipulation campaigns waged as part of a “hybrid war against the Global Majority” to preserve hegemony.
Unofficial representatives from 12 Western nations who advocate constructive relations with Russia are also participating.
