Woman found dead hanging from mango tree at Kasoa-Peace Town

Residents of Kasoa-Peace Town were left shocked on Sunday following the discovery of a woman in her late 20s hanging from a mango tree.

The deceased, identified as Mawuse Boso, had reportedly travelled from Madina to the area to attend a funeral before her death.

According to the Assembly Member for the area, preliminary observations made when police arrived to retrieve the body have raised suspicions of possible foul play.

Some residents have alleged that Mawuse may have been sexually assaulted before being killed and her body subsequently hanged from the tree.

However, police have not confirmed these allegations or officially established the circumstances surrounding her death.

The body has since been recovered as investigations continue to determine exactly what happened to Mawuse.
