Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama Attends Sassou Nguesso’s Investiture in Brazzaville

Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, joined a host of African leaders in Brazzaville for the investiture ceremony of Denis Sassou Nguesso, who has been sworn in for a new five-year term following his re-election.

The ceremony, held in the capital of the Republic of the Congo, brought together heads of state and high-level delegations from across the continent, reflecting regional support and diplomatic ties among African nations. President Sassou Nguesso’s renewed mandate is expected to continue his long-standing leadership and influence within Central Africa.

President Mahama’s presence at the event underscores Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting unity within the African Union. His participation also highlights the importance Ghana places on democratic processes and peaceful transitions of power across the continent.

Following the official ceremony, President Mahama has since returned to Accra to resume his official duties.
