Former Swedru All Blacks and Okwawu United player Ibrahim Meriga passes on

Former Swedru All Blacks and Okwawu United player Ibrahim Meriga has died following a prolonged illness.

A statement from All Blacks, confirmed his passing on Sunday.

It read: "It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that Swedru All Blacks United Football Club announces the passing of our cherished club legend, Ibrahim Meriga.

The entire Swedru All Blacks family is deeply saddened by the loss of a man whose name and contribution will forever remain part of the history and heritage of our great club.

Ibrahim Meriga represented the values, pride and tradition associated with Swedru All Blacks, and his contribution to the club earned him a special place in the hearts of generations of the Black Magicians family.

On behalf of the Club President, Management, Technical Team, players, supporters and the entire Swedru All Blacks fraternity, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Ibrahim Meriga during this difficult period.

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will continue to live within the history of Swedru All Blacks, and his service to the club will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and we pray that the Almighty grants them strength and comfort to endure this painful loss.
