The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has selected 10 boxers made up of seven males and three females for this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow Scotland.
They include two times Commonwealth Games medallist Abdul Wahid Omar, who will make a record fourth appearance at the Games in the 65kg division as he leads the Black Bombers.
13th African Games gold medallist Amadu Mohammed (55kg) and African youth champion Desmond Pappoe (80kg) are strong contenders for the podium.
Ebenezer Ankrah (60kg) who represented Ghana at both the 2024 IBA World Youth Championships and the 2025 IBA World Men's Boxing Championships, alongside promising prospect Precious Akai Nettey (70kg), Jibril Muntari (90kg) and Daniel Plange (+90kg) are in the squad.
Ghana's women's challenge will be led by Police woman Ramatu Quaye (51kg), Ghana Army boxer Nancy Banfo (54kg) and rising youngster Adelaide Djabatey (57kg).
The Technical staff made up of Ben Tetteh, Daniel Lartekwei Lartey and Charles Quartey is headed by Dr. Ofori Asare.
