Russia to Hold Scaled-Down Victory Day Parade Without Heavy Military Hardware

Russia will mark its annual Victory Day on May 9 with a noticeably scaled-down military parade in Moscow, leaving out tanks, missile systems, and other heavy equipment that have long defined the event.

Authorities say the decision is based on the “current situation,” a reference widely understood to include ongoing security concerns and operational demands linked to the war in Ukraine.
