The Republic of Congo is preparing to allow African nationals to enter the country without requiring a visa.

President Denis Sassou Nguesso announced this in a move aimed at boosting regional integration and easing movement across the continent.

The decision would make Congo one of a growing number of African countries adopting visa-free policies for fellow Africans.

This forms part of efforts to strengthen trade, tourism, and economic cooperation under the African Union’s integration agenda.

Authorities have not yet announced when the new policy will take effect or the conditions that may apply to travelers entering the country.
