Real Bolga United Football Club has appointed Prosper Ayinbilla Awuni as President of the club, marking a significant step in the club’s continued efforts to strengthen its leadership, administration and long-term development.
Mr. Awuni brings to the position a strong combination of professional experience, leadership and a deep appreciation for football and youth development.
He is a Chartered Accountant with the Ministry of Finance, where he has gained extensive experience in public finance management and fiscal policy.
His professional background is complemented by a personal connection to football, having played the sport himself.
This experience has given him an understanding of the discipline, teamwork, commitment and sacrifice required to build and sustain a competitive football organisation.
His appointment also reflects Real Bolga United FC’s growing ambition to establish a stronger institutional foundation while remaining firmly committed to its community-based identity and youth development philosophy.
As President, Mr. Awuni is expected to provide strategic leadership as the club continues to develop its structures, strengthen relationships with stakeholders and partners, and create an environment capable of nurturing young footballers into disciplined and competitive players.
One of the key priorities of the new administration will be the continued identification and development of talented young footballers from Bolgatanga, the Upper East Region and beyond.
This aligns with the club’s broader vision of becoming a leading force in player development while making a meaningful contribution to the communities it serves.
Mr. Awuni’s strong interest in youth empowerment further complements the club’s philosophy of using football as a vehicle for opportunity, personal development and community engagement.
His appointment comes at an important period for Real Bolga United FC, as the club seeks to consolidate its progress on and off the pitch and build a sustainable future.
With the support of the management, technical team, players, partners, supporters and the wider community, the new President will lead the club into what is expected to be an important phase of growth.
The club is confident that Awuni’s leadership, professional experience and commitment to youth development will contribute positively to the continued progress of the 'We Believe Lads'.
As a new chapter begins, the club remains united around one message: We Believe.
