Ghana's biggest opposition political party, the New Patriotic Party have opened nominations for all aspirants for their national officers positions ahead of the elections in October.
The process runs from Monday, August 17 to Saturday, August 22, 2026 daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The NPP said all interested aspirants are encouraged to come along with their stipulated filing fees either in cash or paid cheque to pickup their nominations within the stipulated period and ensure that all required processes are duly completed.
Information available to thelence.com had it that at the close of nominations for Day One, a total of nine aspirants had picked up nomination forms to contest the various advertised positions.
The breakdown was as follows:
For the National Chairmanship position, two persons had picked nomination forms.
One person had picked a form for the National Vice Chairman position .
At Monday's opening day, the General Secretary, National Treasurer, National Organizer, National Women Organizer, National Nasara Coordinator and the National Communications Director positions, all had one nomination form taken.
It is anticipated that this number will grow as the closing date approaches.
All aspirants wishing to contest for positions, will go through a vetting process before being cleared to contest for positions.
The NPP will elect their new national officers on October 3, 2026.
