Morocco to host Ghana in international friendly on October 4 in Tangier

Ghana will take on Morocco in an international friendly on October 4 during the upcoming FIFA international break.

Venue for the match have been confirmed by Morocco with the encounter set to be staged at the Grand Stade de Tangier.

This game will be played after the two countries have engaged in the qualifiers for next year's AFCON tournament.

Ghana will play away to Cote D'Ivoire on September 24 before hosting The Gambia in Accra five days later.

Morocco will host Gabon on September 24 before traveling to play Lesotho on September 29.

Both Morocco and Ghana will use this friendly to fine tune their preparations for the rest of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

A tough test awaits the Black Stars in this friendly with Morocco ahead of their next international assignments.

The last time Ghana faced Morocco was at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon with Sofiane Boufal scoring a late winner.

He scored in the 83rd minute to seal victory for the Atlas Lions over the Black Stars in that group stage game.

Ghana will look to make amends in this upcoming contest which presents the Black Stars technical team another opportunity to test the team against high quality opposition.
