Iran Says Missile Arsenal Remains Largely Intact After Ceasefire

A spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Defence has asserted that the country retained significant military leverage up until the recent ceasefire, claiming Iranian forces maintained effective control over Israeli airspace during the period of hostilities.

Speaking on the outcome of the confrontation, the spokesperson emphasized that a substantial portion of Iran’s missile arsenal remains unused, suggesting that the country still possesses considerable strike capability despite the pause in fighting.

He attributed this position of strength to over 25 years of continuous investment and development in Iran’s defence sector. According to him, the progress was driven not only by the defence ministry and the armed forces but also by contributions from private industry and research-focused companies working to advance missile technology.

The spokesperson further noted that Iran’s missile capabilities are now widely acknowledged by international observers, describing them as a key factor shaping perceptions of the country’s military power.

While tensions in the region remain high, the remarks underscore Iran’s confidence in its strategic preparedness and its ability to sustain long-term defence initiatives.
