The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued a three-year-old boy from drowning in a stream near Access Pub and Restaurant at Nkawkaw Kwamang.
The rescue was carried out by the GNFS Visibility Team from the Nkawkaw Fire Station during a routine community outreach exercise. The officers spotted the child in distress and acted swiftly, pulling him to safety before the situation turned tragic.
The timely intervention of the firefighters saved the boy's life and prevented what could have been a heartbreaking incident.
The rescue highlights the Ghana National Fire Service's commitment to protecting lives, not only during emergency responses but also through proactive community engagement and public safety activities.
The GNFS has urged parents and guardians to closely supervise young children, especially around rivers, streams, and other open water bodies, to help prevent drowning incidents.
