2026/27 Ghana Premier League fixtures to be released on Thursday

The fixtures for the Ghana Premier League (GPL) football season will be released on Thursday to set the phase for the commencement of the competition.

The 18 clubs will get to know their opponents on the opening day of the campaign which starts in September.

Medeama SC are the reigning champions of the competition, and, they will look to defend the title they won last season.

The new season will start on the weekend of September 4-6, 2026 with the campaign programmed to end on the weekend of May 28-31, 2027.

Three promoted clubs, Debibi United, FC AshantiGold 04 and Port City FC, will all make their debut in the Ghanaian top-flight in the coming campaign.

Seventeen clubs will look to dethrone Medeama SC off the title with the campaign expected to be fiercely contested.

A key match to look out for will be when the two biggest rivals on the Ghanaian scene Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak will do battle.
